check your accelerator cable too
I've just done a x16xe conversion from a 1.2 and the cable was different

the accelerator cable is different and one I bought from vauxhall was 40 quid new!
I used the 1.2 8 valve engine mounts and it all fit easily......mine was the x16xe..... you will need ecu, loom, chip and transponder, fuel pump (as your going from single point injection to multi point injection) aswell
hope this helps

when I did my conversion 1.2 to 1.6 my insuance went up 3 fold.....I was paying 246 pound a year full comp on 1.2 now i'm paying 756 pound fully comp 'coz its classed as a modified car'!
I'm gonna look for some cheaper quotes I think! lol

Easy.

1.4 8v SPi is only 60bhp but its literally a case of bolting it in and plugging the 1.2 loom in as its exactly the same.
Can use the 1.2 gearbox too, infact its prob the same one.
