It'll just be Windows updates, it shouldn't do it only when you shut down, it does it in background aswell during normal useage.

I switch mine off tbh, I prefer to manually select which updates I need. I had the autoupdates on a few times and had a BSOD shortly after. Dave if you want them off or to be notified go into the control panel and security center.

Let it install them and it'll shut down itself once finished.
If you then want to turn them off, go to Control Panel, Security Centre, Automatic updates and select the option you want.

my pc does this and then the files fail to install.
does it over and over.
