Chelski must have taken a hit on the SWP transfer. Chuck in the Shevchenko transfer and I bet they are at least £20,000,000 down on just those two.

Would be more than that i imagine, cant see them getting anymore than 10million for Shevchenko
They probs got 10 for SWP though

Would have liked him to stay but cant really grumble if that figure is correct! Just a shame we propbably wont have the opportunity to spend it before the the window closes

I hear a lot of people slate Milner but I always rated him and would have liked him to stay as well. I don't really understand where this transfer request has come from TBH as I don't see that he's going to force himself into the England reckoning by being at Villa or Everton. If the agents story that he feels he deserves a better contract due to his performances/now being a regular first team player is to be believed why did he sign an improved, long term contract last summer!

Saha going to Everton
SAF get your finger out and sign a striker, just for a bit more options up front!

Portuguese news papers are saying we've made a 26m EURO bid for Quaresma
Shouldn't worry Cosmoan, probably just his agents trying to force Inters hand as we've been linked with him for a while
Reports coming out suggest the deal is done and dusted and will be completed within a matter of hours, Pelé goes the other way on loan:
Friday 29 August, 2008
Porto forward Ricardo Quaresma will sign for Inter this afternoon after a decisive meeting between the clubs last night, Italian Press reports insist.
The Portuguese international has been a target for the Nerazzurri since the start of the summer.
Beneamata boss Jose Mourinho has made it clear that he would like to work with his compatriot and Quaresma has welcomed talk of a transfer.
However, the vast price tag on Quaresma's head has consistently prevented negotiations progressing over the last two months.
But according to La Gazzetta dello Sport the two clubs shook hands on a deal last night when they met in Monaco after the Champions League draw.
Quaresma is allegedly in line to sign a four-year contract with a starting salary of £2.2m per year, which will increase annually.
The exact fee is as yet unknown and it is believed that Inter youngster Pelè will be heading in the other direction on loan.
Reports insist that the departure of David Suazo to Benfica, who will pay 100 per cent of his wages, has freed up the capital to pay Quaresma.
