is there much benefits from having my car remapped I have a 1.4 sport with a eBay inlet fitted ,4 branch , cat back , de cat and kn panel filter and can i have the old ecu remapped

from what i've read remaps only really give you higher revs. Don't actually make you quicker. Could be wrong lol.

i think it needs to rev higher as it still pulling when it hit the limiter

The mapping can be changed aswell to give you more power. Also the rev limit can be upped on some standard Vaux ECU's.
I know that MotorSport Developments in blackpool can do this by a live mapping session.

Thats not always to do with revs. My ibiza does 60mph in 2nd gear yet redlines at just 6K

just make sure its a custom live remap, not some shoddy ecu flash thing like a dooperchip.

Standard ECU's can be mapped if the EPROM chip is changed.
Some do on a rolling road, others take it on a road.
