Im down 40mm on a 1.4 sport and to be honest its only bouncy when your really giving it some down a crap surface road.
You'll be suprised how much of a difference springs make over the standard springs

I've got a 1.4 on gmax 60mm springs and uprated shocks with 15" wheels, tis quite a nightmare where i live, splitter and mudflaps catch on the smallest bumps, and my exhaust catches on speedbumps
My last car was only down 50mm on shocks and springs and didnt ever catch so i suggest 60mm shocks and springs because you've 16" wheels so should look good and not catch and ride nicely, not bouncy but also not too hard

60mm with gmax all round and 1400 engine
same rear with redtop engine and coilys up front, nothin wrong with gmax mate, affordable and do a much better job than any standard item, theyre not top notch but then theyre not meant to be!
