was just listening to radio, and it cut out, looked down to phone, the screen had gone white, so i pick it up, its red hot, take battery out as it wont turn off, now it wont come on  common problem?

if i try flashing it, could that work? or would it just invalidate the warranty?

might invalidate the warrenty mate, i would try the battery 1st if it was red hot could be cooked or something, is it insured?

take it to a local phone market / small independent and see if they will let you try a new battery in it first... although saying that its strange about the backlight problem

its coming on now, just no light and doesnt seem to want to charge, gonna take it back to o2 saturday. every phone i've had off o2 has broke apart form my n73, which i dropped down the toilet, then it broke..

Update the firmware dude, won't invalidate anything if its off the Nokia site  Unless you are sure its the battery

just plugged usb cable in, and the screen turns white, backlight on full strength, but cant do anything, soon as i unplug usb it goes dark again

Tbh every phone iv either had from o2 or known someone who got theirs from there has always broken.
My old K750 was in every week as it kept breaking.
However my N80 iv had for 2years on Orange has been fine

took it back to O2 today. 7-10 days to fix.
i have photos i need to get off there too
