right.....
when i put the key in the ignition and turn it on (without starting the car) all your milage and trip counter appears infront of you on a digital display as well as all the other dash lights. However, for the first few seconds over the trip counter (dispalayed above the digital milage readout) a word appers,
this reads 'InSP'
now im guessing this means 'Inspection', which therefore means it due a service and when a garage services it they reset this light. However i service it myself so the question stands...
How do i reset this light...? (That is if im correct in what ive said)
Any help much appriciated

1) Push the trip button down (and keep it down)
2) put your foot on the brake pedal and hold down
3) switch on your ignition but dont start the car
4) keep the trip button pressed down throughout
The 'insp' will flash and eventually display a number (12000 or 21000)
And that should be it sorted.

Hi mate yes, depending on what interval the cars been set to before for the numbers.
Obviously from your experience not applicable to all cars, didn't realise that!
Glad could help!
