The one i have just now is a bit tired and running really slow. I think i need something with a bit more ram. I'm making do with 512mb just now.
Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations of what kind of PC to buy, and/or where to buy it from?
I've got about £1,000 to spend.

£1000 will buy you a hell of a high spec machine mate.
What do you want from it?

Be looking at a serious bit of kit for 1k, you can probably build one alot cheaper that will still be more than enough!

Do you need it to do anything specific, or is it general internet use, etc.?

If I had a grand going spare, I'd be looking at a Macbook for general use and a bit of design work.
Obviously depends on what you want though.....

I'd want a decent Card though, probably spend about £150 - £200 and have it last. And then a 32 inch screen. Would hit a grand easy.
And wouldn't want to be skimping on the PSU for obvious reasons

You won't get a decent 32" screen for 400 quid.

A grand will get you a lot, I wouldn't get one from comet / currys etc. Have a look at a few sites... cconline, overclockers & dabs
