the sxi goes in for an mot tomorrow, this is the first mot since i've passed my test so anyone got any advice or tips for last minute checks

yes,, will be checking those this evening, realised earlier on i have a brake light out?

check all bulbs, cv boots are easy to check your self if you dont mind getting under the car, as if they are split it will fail.
Check the b pillars and see if they are cracked as its a common problem but mainly on the older ones, can fail for this too.
As long as brakes and handbrake are working properly etc there's not much else you can check mate

Just before you take it in the garage.

Take it for a quick thrash down a private road

Gets all the shit out of the exhaust that may cause to fail on emmisions

modifications won't have any affect will they? for example its lowered 60mm

as long as it's not too low, that it wont get ont he ramps or brake test machine you'll be fine

Mine managed to get on everything fine down 60mm mate so you should have no worries there.

Watch out for any chav rear lights with no 'e' marks also.
