Like the article says, concentrate on your breathing techniques. I used to get one every time i stepped on a running machine but i've learned to take deeper breaths for as long as possible and stay consistent with it.

As Hammer says really, better breathing techniques. ive also noticed I only get pain if I job slowly, so usually speed up (assuming im on a run not playing sport etc) this tends to help.

as said above, its all about getting into a rythem and keeping it, if you loose the rythem your more than likley to pick up a stich
