the mrs has just got a 98 vts,
it cuts out randomly at junctions, then will start hunting, occasionally backfire + flashback through the inlet.
so far ive cleaned the TB + ICV.
checked the crank/cam sensors..
but, the 3 coolant tem sensors (right hand side of the block) on has no wiring???..
i would presume that its 1 for the guage, 1 for the fan and one for the ecu??..
anyone know which is which? (green,brown,blue)
or have any other ideas??..

The symptoms would point straight to ICV. To be fair, cleaning it doesn't do a great deal. That tiny nipple has to pulsate thousands of times so it will wear. Get another valve (£25 off Ebay) fit that and go from there mate but it should help if not correct.
