escort... A few reasons why....
Easy to tune.
Reliable (its a 8v)
Easy to fix
Cheap to insure (if you have some ncb)
Cheap to fix when bits break
Subaru bad bits
Running costs are silly
Most bits will break the bank when you need to replace them
Every git has one saying (mines quicker than yours)
And expensive to insure.
I say escort all day long....

rusty old escort or overpriced jap crap tbh.
keep the escort mate, escort wont be a lot slower than the scoob and you could make it just as fast for not a lot of outlay tbh. plus running costs. plus ersts are only going up in price, scoobs are pennies now.
keep that escort tbh

well thank for all the comments boys, still really torn between the 2, my escort has nearly been restored its more or less prestige condition. but me an the mrs are talking of kids now so the scooby would be more practical, possibly more reliable an safer for a child to ride in
im really not sure

Dont get me wrong, i like S2s they are gorgeous, but at the end of the day its an old escort thats wrong wheel drive. The scooby is famed for excellent handling an amazing noise and tuning potential.

At the end of the day, they are two completly different cars.
Regardless of how clean the Escort is, the Impreza will be much faster with much better handling - a totally different animal.
Impreza by a long shot IMO.
