I just called O2 customer service regarding my last bill but within minutes of hanging up my phone bleeped (Not a message tone) and there was a message on the screen (not an mms, an actual phone message) say something along the lines of New settings postday. Install? and a yes or no option. I pressed No but the message returned so i pressed yes. It then told me updates had been installed and I now have WAP and MMS (which I've always had anyway)

Shortly after I recieved a text message from number 2030 saying "O2: Good news! You're now set-up to use Wap & Mms, Have fun using them! If u have any problems please call your appropriate service centre. Terms Apply"

I'm a little concerned at this as something doesnt seem quite right

O2 using text speak?
O2 messgae usually come from "O2 - UK" not a number IIRC?
could this be a scam??

phone o2 and get them to resend the wap/mms settings

...and see if exactly the same happens again you mean? Good idea

I think I will give them a call as I dont want some scammer putting £1000's on my bill

You can get the O2 settings sent to your phone from the O2 website

OK I've just gone through this process again and exactly the same...I guess it is from O2
