need an alternator for my c20xe
do i have to have 1 from another xe ??
or what other ones would fit ?

will any vauxhall 1 fit as long as i have the brackets for the xe engine ?

go take yours off and take it to a electrical company who re-ferbs alternators or fix it yourself.... Its not going to be hard...

haven't even got 1 to start with, thats the problem, just wondering if one from a corsa can be made to fit and work ? or any other vauxhall/other make of car that could work

gav i have one here but its the multi v type what type are you after
I believe the x14xe x16xe ones are the same but obviously multi v again although front pulleys can be changed

yeh need single v pulley mate
if u can change the pulley on them think i'l just try find a pulley and get my mate to find a newish 1 from a car in the yard

I fitted my X14XE alternator to mt LET engine and only had to swap the pulley but you might as well get a single V one to start with. Really need an air gun to get it off though, makes it so much easier than trying to hold the pulley while you slacken the nut

i might have a pulley actually thinking about it.
If i remember tomorrow which i doubt i will then i will have a look
