How do you have yours set? Mines currently set to come on at night during the off peak time to heat my hot water for me. My grandparents were telling me that they have thiers set to just be on all the time as it costs less to have the immersion heater on for a little while every now and again during the day to keep the heat of the water topped up.

Whats cheaper

depends what type of cylinder you have, ours is a foam insulated one, warm it up in the morning and it will still be hot when we get home cause its so well insulated,

Id say stick it on half an hour before you want to use it, takes generally about 45 mins to get a full cylinder of hot water, if one person wants one shower though there is no point having a full tank heated

It's only me here. There is just enough water in it for two people to use it for showers and I still get hot water in the evening after a day of not having it turned on as it is an ultra efficient model...
