Ok so i only care about my work league, sod CS league! i want bragging rights in my work one.

I'm about 25-30 pts behind the leader, today we can make unlimited moves and 4 players from each team, i was thinking of doing this, think its too risky?

3-4-3 consisting of

Croatian keeper in goal (forgot his name)

Lahm - Mertesacker - Metzelder
Sneijder - Ronaldo - Robben - Engelaar
Torres - Villa - Olic

So having the german defence as i can see tonights game being 0-0 or maybe 1-0 germany
Dutch midfield they should beat Russia with ease, most goals have come from midfield
Spanish front 2, i know they're playing italy, but by god they've been shit this year

then just hope the results go my way?

Most people in my work will be going for the most selected players like they always do which will look something like

Van Der Sar
Lahm - Prasnic - Pepe - Ramos
Ronaldo - Ballack - Modric - Sneijder
Villa - Van Nistelrooy

Hmmm whats your opinions?

P.S - Do you think Robben will play ahead of Kuyt now?

TBH I'd skimp on the defence (maybe just lahm) and then replace on of the midfield with Ronaldo.

That way if Germany conceed you hopefully have it covered with Ronaldo being in your team.

I'd drop Engelaar from the midfield anyway, he's a holding midfielder.

In defence go for Van Bronckhorst or Grosso, the former hits most of Hollands corners and free kicks and the latter has taken up free kick duties with Pirlo out.

What about

Van Der Sar

Van Bronkhorst - Lahm - Metzelder - Grosso
Sneijder - Ronaldo - Deco - Ballack
Nistelrooy - Villa

My sub: Olic from Croatia

I would maybe try Robben over Deco if i knew Robben was definitely going to play, Holland and Spain change their midfields way to much

I'm tempted to go with players such as Torres / Klose etc, purely due to the fact they are due a goal or 2

fuck sake, too many decisions

I'd go for Torres over Villa, Torres will always get you assists and like you say he's due to score a couple should Spain get through.

fuck it, i've gone for it with this as my team

Van Der Sar
Van Bronkhorst - Lahm - Metzelder
Sneijder - Ronaldo - Deco - Ballack
Nistelrooy - Torres - Olic

Sub: Ignasevich from Russia

I can see a 0-0 port v ger but i just can't bring myself to leave Ron and Deco out, at least i should get some pts if it turns out with either team winning with Ballack too

Edit - changed my mind, back three is now

Bronkhorst - Lahm - Grosso

That way i got more chance of fluking some cleen sheets, as i want to keep Ron and Deco
