Seem quite cheap for an SLR? Can get one for about £270ish plus you get £30 back
Is there a reason why they aren't that expensive? I know you get what you pay for with these things but the reviews don't seem too bad?

There's two 'newer' versions now.
The D40X which came with 10 megapixels instead of 6, and the D60 which came with a few more goodies like sensor cleaning etc

Yeah 6 megapixel is pretty poor when you start going larger scale print wise. Not a bad camera though by any means.

30x20" prints look great as long as your not 1ft away.
Things like sensor cleaning are just marketing gimmicks to lure beginners into thinking they've got something great. i would happily buy a D40 again over the D60 as the money I would save would go towards better glass.

How much can 350d's be picked up for now?
Better camera, surely they can't be any more expensive?

350s were discontinued ages ago, the last 400s are just being sold so youd be lucky to find a 350 for new anymore.

Good enough for a 30x20" print.
