Are they legal? Safe?

thinking of a set for a laugh on the mini, some 8's or 9's at the rear.

from what i've heard think they're illegal but they are as safe as any other wheel as long as they're done properly!

they are safe, they wouldnt make them otherwise, Legal as long as they dont stick out of the wheel arches

legal as long as the tyres dont stick out of the arches, so with stretched rubber they will be legal.

If you band them at home its illegal but if you take them somewhere and have them cut properly and then welded up the proper way its legal. those who are certified to do it, will send out a certificate to proove that the wheels are legal etc. O and there safe and expensive. but worth it

yeah as far as im aware they are leggal just now but im sure i heard that there is majour safty point against them?? miby now, local plod round here are ok tho so u should be fine

nope, all of the tread of the tyre must be under the arch and can only poke out of the arch 35mm, how do you think balck cabs get away with the big wheel trims and lorries with the massive extended bolts
