Went out and lost my keys on saturday and have got quoted 80quid for a replacement from vauxhall. Does anybody know of a cheaper way of getting round this? changing locks etc? Any help appriciated

go scrappies and get full lock set for about 20quid max. just make sure u egt the keys lol

what will that consist of? just the door lock and the ignition barrel? many thanks

depending on how old your car is, key might have a chip in it so you **MIGHT** need the ecu aswel, dont quote me on it though

its a 1996 1.4 sport 16v. and when i phoned vauxhall they said it would need programming so im assuming this will be the chip part?

Yes I think so.
I think the £80 hit from vaux is probably gonna be the best option in terms of cost/hassle.
