ive got a w reg corsa sport 1.4 and the ecu's been fried, its dead expensive to repair it.....
ive been to scrap yards all over and tried different ecus but they dont work on my car.
if i get a second hand ecu with the chip from the key also, would it work?
because obviously the ones that i tried at the scrapyard tried firing up but it was using my original key so it didnt match the ecu.
or do i have to find one the same code as my original one?

you need the chip out of the key and the transponder ring from around the barrel.
In my experience the code doesnt need to match
