do fk coilovers come with the camber adjustment when you buy them brand new????

im looking into buying a set but iv been told i need the camber adjustment things?
is this true or can i fit it without and use the standard spring caps???
these are the said springs and the advert reads ''and features an eccentric hole as standard to enable camber adjustment at the front hub''

no they dont come with them mate, you dont need them either imo.

they dont come with them but then you dont need them with the fk's.

the top bolt hole for the hub is elongated (sp) so you can adjust the camber, and its worth getting it done

iv just phoned my local garage who deals with tracking and wheels etc, and they have told me that the car will need to be corner weighted? what is this and its the first iv heard of it???

corner wieghted just get down to a decent place with computerised tracking equipment, and tell them how much camber you want to run

you will see when you put them on to set up the camber can be a pain in the arse to get it right but like said above it has a elongated top bolt hole when you can move the coilover about to counter camber

you cant adjust camber by eye though, you either need a decent gauge or some decent equipment, after all theres no point spending £300+ on coilovers to have them handling like a bag of wank

tbh if you are going as far as setting up camber and ride height and thinking about corner weighting you may as well throw the FK stuff in the bin and use something half decent.

why do they sell these kits then? if the amount of work that needs to be done isnt worth it?

il probably end up buying a fixed kit!

Because people see the eBay kits etc as a quick way to get a super low car (only as an aesthetic).

But if you want a well-handling car, being lower isn't the only thing to consider.

It depends on the kit you buy. You can get eccentric top mounts but the general consensus is that these aren't great for everyday road use. My car was lowered and had the best part of -2 degrees camber on the front. Going round corners was a blast, but the tyres wore quickly. Sometimes you gotta take the rough with the smooth.

Look if u want a kit that you dont need to adjust the camber just dont go over 40 or 60 mmif you get camber with 40 or 60 mm then you are gonna have to buy a camber adjustment kit which as i have heard is a load of shite to put on so just set the FK's up yourself

tbh im scared to do so, i want the rear adjusters so i can adjust the rear but a fixed front!

buy a bilstein b10 kit

When we designed my Gaz coilover kits we adjusted ride height by 10mm incraments from standard to -80mm. camber didnt change massively throughout the 10mm changes so we set the coilover at -50mm and set the holes at this point to give a small amount of camber. that way if they were lowered by 40-60mm the camber would be pretty much bang on.

But FK dont bother with any real testing as such and just make a big elongated hole and expect you to set it yourself.


if you like, call me on monday and I will tell you how to set the camber up so its pretty accurate. you will need a few basic tools, ruler, spirit level and tape measure.

thanks for the advice dave but i have not bought the fk's yet because i tend to jump the gun alot and i try not to where possible.

I think im going to stay away from coilovers i think, even though they were 130 pounds.

i cant actually afford the b10 kit and i would like it to be -60mm all round, im planning on gettin a set of front gaz dampers and building a kit from there, but lets see how it goes
