Anyone know anything about these things?

What do you do, just ask for them in the post office?

How does the person you intend to recieve them know who they're from?

Any info in appreciated...

you just go to the post office, ask for the amount you want... they'll charge you a small amount for it.

you can have the payees name printed on it.

Well you'll be sending them to the person, so i guess its down to you to put a note in with the envelope so they know who its from

Would try avoiding postal orders. Cost me £5.40 for i think a £60 order, sent it first class recorded, the kid wasnt in so royalmail left a 'whilst you were out' card.
Kid went to collect it but it wasnt there. After a month of constant calling they found out 'on camera' the posty had opened it (found it was no use to him) and chucked it. 2 months later i got the £60 paid back to me but lost the £5.40 that it cost me in the first place. And to finish it off lost the chance to buy the item as the kid couldnt hold it for 3 months!

Dont use anything but paypal now

Makes no difference, still going via royalmail. Royalmail worker is the one who nicked it. Just my bad experience, the guy i was paying is very trusted and had nothing to with him. Thought it would be safe 1st class recorded
Dave A is a very trustworthy person and very helpfull, trying to sort out my spring problem with him as we speak lol
