Right, this could be a long shot - descriptive skills will have to be at there best...
Drving along minding my own business, as i let off the accel i get a painful sounding knock and the steering veers to the left, almost feels like there is play somewhere...
Ball joints are of good condition and track-rod ends are of new condition, what other than above could be causing this as it is really starting to boil my piss

My first thoughts are bushes in the lower arms or gearbox mount but i don't know if these would have the effect i am expierencing

Have you jacked the fornt up and had a check for play in the components yet?

Tried, but i don't really know how much is 'too much' play really
As for steering rack, how would you know for certain?
