cam belt kit seems the right price and water pump is a bit expensive. ACL bearings are good.

is that all that I need then? apart from piston rings? also I am correct is saying that an x14xe head will go on an x16xe bottom end and the only difference is the inlet and exhausts ports?

remember not to order bearings or rings until the crank and block have been worked on.

if the crank is fine will standard bearing be fine? How do you know the condition on the crank to know if it needs a regrind?

its unlikely the crank will be perfect. remeber that you are measuing in 0.01 of a millimeter so things need to be precise.

also- Im going to need the measurments of the piston before hand so the block can be bored to match, that right? same apply to the crank?

take the crank to a machine shop and ask them to measure it and either polish or re-grind to suit. they will then supply you with the correct size bearings.
as for the block, choose your piston. you can then get bore sizes, piston sizes and clearance info from the piston manufacturers. Give this infor to the machine shop that does the block. you should also supply them with hone finish information to suit the piston rings.

Or you could just send me the block and I will send it back to you all built up and ready to fit

well they quoted 80 for a rebore aswell. and thats the only place I know in the cardif area. x16xe standard bore is 79mm rite? so is a rebore to 80mm ok?

have you bought your pistons yet? if not then dont worry about the bore size until you get your spec.
