hi just wondering if anyone has any info on these type of manifold? im contemplating making my own , i have the tools to do so but i need to understand how it works? ive never seen one installed on a car but i think i could manage to knock one up. i just need 2 know what measures the air going into the manifold and can these be fitted easily to ecotec x16xe? if someone can point me in the right direction id apreciate it greatly!
any pics of a manifold fitted and pics of the car also greatly apreciated

The MAP sensor regulates the air flow rate on the Ecotec's, knock up and box with a hole for the throttle body - job done

Pretty much what he said.
All it does is replace the standard tubing which is silly long for a shorter inlet (the box)
The vacum pipes, MAP sensor and a couple of other bits need to be plumbed into it as they work off the vacum.
Have a look in my garage for a couple of pics of one fitted.

aye thats what i though ! ive just made a similar sort of thing for a vehicle at work but bigger! so think i can knock one of these up no problem!

The inside corners on the mantzel/dbilas ones are rounded too.

Manztel are clearly more "boxy"
Dbilas More like a big bean can in shape/ somehow send the air better into the engine as the inner housing is twister like?
Is that right?

nah cant see it as far as i know its just a better version of the unbelievably complex vauxhall intake dont think theres any twister like gubbins iside the box? could be wrong tho
