AK's right, cheaper to just blow up the bugger, and buy another £250 engine..
Unless your tuning in the future, in which case i'd just hold onto all the kit until your ready to build the engine totally.

saying that, i would spend £90 now, instead of £300+ on the future for another engine you dont know this history off
Preventive matinance

£90?
but yeah, I know the history of this engine, and could easily get in contact with lee who's maintained it since rich bought his XE

when you take a pump apart there really is nothing to them, been suggested to me that
1) some of the motorfactor pumps are shit
2) you can rebuild a vauxhall one for less than a new pump

Oh I see! The oil pump was £70 on chris astley (that's where I was ordering everything from)
Tbh it all seems reasonable in my eyes, but the flywheel is just sub £200 and the clutch is £140ish so that's why it seems so high!

I'd just replace the toothed rings myself. About £20 each

part numbers are for the insides of the oil pump that get fucked up. The rally boys round here don't buy new pumps, just rebuild their original.
yes, parts numbers is my life, not just vauxhall
