my engine model is the X10XE

have been through 3 EGR valves, and its starting to get on my nerves.

three questions

what are the benefits of having it blanked off?
will the ecu light still be on if i blank it, but leave it plugged in?
and can it cause any problems elsewhere?

if there is anything else anybody knows about doing this then help will be appreciated

as far as im aware its a bullshiit part that isnt really needed anyway, is this true?

thanks for any help

much appreciated
