my 1.0 12v corsa has started to rattle even on idle, and when i push the clutch in it gets louder..

also its hard to push it into gear..

any ideas what it is?

need to know asap guys

thrust bearing mabe ?

anyone else think its the thrust bearing?

dont realy fancy having it done, by a maybe..

Sounds like a thrust bearing. Try lifting the clutch pedal if the noise goes away or gets better then yes it is your thrust bearing

should i have the clutch and release bearing done aswell at the same time...

mabe if you have the money i would get the clutch done unless its been changed recently

Just get it all done, no point in just getting the bearing likelyness is the clutch plates will be pretty worn too. If your handy enough with tools you could easily change a clutch. I did mine on my 1.6 16v Corsa only problem i had was trying to get the box past the anti roll bars. But managed to angle it so i would. The only hard part is taking the box off and aligning the clutch(i didnt get the aligment tool with my clutch kit)

i could do it quite easily tbh, worked on all of my previous cars, just rather pay to get the clutch done tbh. dont want the hassel..
