Hi folks.

Ok so it's probably be asked 3000000 times, but searching didnt return the results i wanted.

I currently have an X12XE, and am planning to buy a MOT failure Calibra for its XE/Leather & Brakes.

I'm aware of all required to physically fit the engine but one thing that i am wanting to know it as the X10 & X12's have the ECU mounted to the engines how do i go about wiring in the C20XE.

One of my work colleagues has carried out loads of conversions but never on the x10/x12's so just lookin for some guidance.

Cheers

Id imagine you would have to just extend the wires so they go inside the car to join to the xe loom

its easy cause your ditchin all the engine ecu from the old engine so forget about it under the bonnet top left handside almost under the driver wiper you should have a big rubber grommet thats where you will run the wiring from the new engine and then new ecu in the drivers footwell then simply join the wires in the car to the dash etc job done no extending needed

pretty much yeah there is only about 7 wires you need to connect up and only 4 i think to get it to actually run just with no dash etc (not for a long time obviously)
