leaving a friends house tonight, reversing the car out of his narrow driveway into the road, just as i was leaving reverse to pick first there was a clunk/pop noise from under the bonnet, when the car is in neutral there is a rattling sound, then when you put your foot down on the clutch, the rattle stops.... when in gear the car fails to move also, is this problem gearbox related or would it be the driveshaft?? any help needed as quickly as possible please!!

would that stop the car from moving altogether tho?? the clutch pedal doesnt feel any different or anything

yer if if clutch gone would still feel same on pedal but no bite on fly wheel

wot engine?
clucth kit 80 - 100 quid and then say couple hours work

If it's lowered the driveshaft might just be about to pop out

1.4 16v with f13 cr gearbox off the old 1litre lump, lowered 40mm. i hope its just the shaft has popped out, would that just be a case of popping back in, or would it be a sign something broken?
