Friend of mine has corsa 1.4 says on idle lots of white smoke from rear but goes ok .
Any cause for concern?

any missfire when first starting it in the morning? first instinct would say headgasket if the smoke is white so i would check the coolant level first of all too

Thats usually condensation (mainly on cold days when warming up) If it runs lumpy might be possible headgasket.

No oil in coolant water expansion tank clear and amazingly white
not lumpy either runs fine but just a bit smokey when left ideling

Sounds liike harmless condensation to me.
