Right at the moment i have an Old DVD player with the surround sound setup on it, BUT i want to have the sourround sound coming out fro the ps2 and tv, how do i do this & will i need new equipment?

If there's an audio out on the TV, then get a cable from the TV into an Aux in on the DVD Player (if there is one) If not you're screwed
If there's only a headphone link on the TV then got an adaptor to change from 3.5mm to twin phono (i think it is)
Then just run ps2 into TV as normal, the sound out of the TV will then go into the DVD player, and out through those speakers, although it'll only be 2 speakers, and the sub unless it's prologic II which i'm guessing it's not if it's an old player.

Optical from where? TV probbly doesn't have it, PS2 definately doesnt

yea my slimline ps2 has optical.
that plugs straight into the back of the DVD player.. select AUX on the dvd player and you should have sound.

Fair enough, shows what i know! I was only thinking about the AV wires into the scart.
