Id say theyd be about the same most mx5's for under 1k are just as dodgy.

Mgf is quicker anbd not so dated to.

Wouldn't the MGF's at £1k have K-series Rover engines?

Yes but if you look around you can get an mgf which has had the replacement land rover head gasket for under 1k.

All abit Hairdresser for me....ad stuff the convertable for winter and get a VR6 can get a mint 1 for around 1500

golf = mk1 with the roof cut off = shit
MGF = might be fine, might blow up

The thing with the golf is they are veyr old. And, you don't get a "proper" drop top. Also, I've never understood this obsession with the Mk1/2 Golf? Yeah, ok, its becoming a bit fo a classic, but my days some people love them!

MGF is nicer to look at than the old MX-5, but then Jap reliability with the MX-5.

Do you get mx5's for under a grand?

When I had a look they seemed to be typical jap.

Pay a fortune for a 15 year old car because it happens to be rwd and drifting is cool atm.

Answered my own question, there are a total of 5 uk wide on autotrader for 1000 or under.
