Just moved into a flat which has fairly modern storage heaters installed. Im on an Economy 7 electric tariff with Eon where the offpeak is 1am to 7am. What im finding is that the storage heaters start to charge at 11pm. From reading around I gather they are supposed to charge offpeak and the 2 hours of onpeak electric that the 4 heaters are using to charge is probably starting to bump my bill up abit.
How can you change the time that they come on at? Is it something that the Eon will have to do or can you do this manually somewhere?

They should be wired in to the Economy 7 meter. Usually it clicks over (yours at 1am) and then anything on that circuit will be provided power, so they shouldnt really be coming on at all?

Yeh thats what I thought, the water heater comes on fine at 1am and thats part of the economy 7 circuit too. Think il give Eon a ring to double check then see what the landlord says.
