Ive done it, doesn't make it any quicker, just gives you induction noise.

done mine the other week..
engine runs fine as usual, no running problems, but as said above just gives it the induction sucking noise...
i didnt go over the top with the holes though just done about 14 smallish holes...
bigger the holes, deeper the noise..

wouldnt bother my arse doing it personally, as said you will only get more noise, therefore you will use more fuel cause you will want to hear then noise
