Is there anyway for it to make a noise when you recieve a new email? As an alert?

I get annoyed having to check all the time....

no just desktop, i have push email which pings to my mobile ands makes a noise so i could just use the mobile to tell me but it would be nice ot just hear a sound on the pc when i got it

I use POP Peeper, it downloads all new headers from both of my Yahoo accounts and has visual and audible alerts on new mail, its free
