Just wondering

I got the engine number for my c20let the weekend, it was very hard to read as it was faded and had some surface erosion.

What we managed to make out it lookd like 5 numbers.

Does this sound right as my engine number for my 1.6 was longer and started with a letter.

Just wondering if this is something both my insurance and dvla will check in detail just incase the number ive put down is incorrect etc?

When I changed my engine I just put down "Unknown" for the engine number as I forgot to write it down before I installed it in the car. Aso long as the cc's are right you should not have a problem

Think the CC will be the latter.

Your insurance and DVLA are mainly concerned with the engine size because that is directly related with how much money they will rape you for.

In some cases I've seen people just scribble a random engine number down.

Insurance is already sorted £1275 FC with Flux

But I have the modified form to fill out etc so need to put engine number and CC and a whole lot of other things.......

So when changing V5 I should put 1998cc can anyone confirm?
