I've just bought a corsa 1.4 8v sri but i think the engine is fooked....anyway......i have a 1.6 8v spi engine here.......would it be a straight swap? Help please!!

try find a sri engine or get a 16v, no point going down a engine grade when the engine is out.

ye i know....but i've got this engine here...and need the car on the road until the fiesta is finished .....was just hoping to get the engine change by tommorow

But, if i leave the MPI pump.....would it be better?

The problem with my engine is it runs on 3 cylinders! Anything i could swap over from the 1.6 engine?

you can run an mpi pump on a spi, i had one on my old 1.4spi for a while.

ok.....we checked it this morning and there's a fucked valve.

I'm going to try putting the inlet from the sri, onto the 1.6, see if it will work.
