I was driving along the motorway y'day and all of a sudden the rev counter starts flying all over the show and all the dials start doing strange things.
The MFD flickers, the radio goes off, and the car struggles to run even with foot on the floor(starts popping and banging) like some sort of ignition problem.
Then after this little episode it sorts it self out, but it did it again about an hour later.
Any help?

Dodgy rev counter reading explains all.
Check the sensor/bracket isn't loose first, and that the sensors plug is sound
