Hi, I have recently put on a cat back system, which makes the car run really rich when driving properly as well as like a lunatic.
Also have a BMC CDA, new spark plugs and leads on.
Soooo, would re setting the ecu help me? Or would it be something like a lambda sensor messing about?
Another prob- i have a toad cat 1 alarm on it, so would unplugging the battery for a bit be a problem?
On a 98 1.4 sport by the way.

I have a toad fitted have removed battery for hours no problem works the same as always when back on again.

Does the em light come on? If not then resetting the ecu prob wont do anything

And no, the light doesnt come on, it did flash at me once about 2 months ago, but never seen it since.
I figured it would be worth a go considering its free.
