You just have to keep yanking it mate, mine took a lot of persuasion to get off!

take a hammer.. and use it from the back of the steering wheel..

been told not to hit to hard because the corsa has a collapsable steering column ?????????

yeah, remove the bolt, make sure the steering locks off, grab the top of the wheel and yank it forward and back
