just be quieter and more reliable, for £3 you may aswell. if you ring them they will end it Royal Mail, it i'll be cheaper on postage. they are nice like that

Downloaded Avast 4.8 and plonked that on there, just running it through now

It detected malware straight off

and 'recommended' it removed the operating memory virus's by scanning in boot mode, so i let it do that

God knows.

Programes i use are:-

CCleaner
Start-up inspector
Spybot S&D
Windows Defender
And
Mcafee

Surprising how much crap and deadlinks are wiped off.......

Also stick a 512MB and start from there!

For the fan, replace it and also invest in an exhaust fan and a general fan to fit on back (near top near power supply) to help keep it cool.

Always worth doing scans in both normal and administrator mode as things can get deleted easier in that mode, but be careful the sametime on whats being deleted!
