I have been given an interview on thursday and they have said there will be a technical test, which i would expect. My only concerns are i'm not sure exactly what they will be testing and just want to brush up on area's that service desk's usually get calls about.i understand its about everything but this is mainly for first time fixes, so would this just be the standard printer issues and shared drives etc?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As said, depends on company. But my guess is you'll have a couple of Scenarios in which they'll ask your reaction, what would you do and why.

when I had mine @ EDS it was just basic stuff, i think one thing was work out what VDU stands for, what would you do if a PC goes off every time you boot it up etc.
Half the crap I used to get as 1st line was user error
