I can get the following TV:

http://www.comet.co.uk/shopcomet/product/449881/SONY-KDL40V4000

For £540.

Now I'm not really that fussed about a new TV but at that price it's very tempting.

Is it any good?

If it interests you John Lewis are selling them for £599 with 5 year guarantee. Where can you get it from for £540? If its private sale, then you'd have to wigh up whether you want the £60 warranty, else get JL to price match you've seen it in a shop.

I've never used the TV so I'll hold off giving an opinion, reviews seem good though http://whathifi.com/Review/Sony-KDL-40V4000/
