It may or may not be illegal. But the next time it goes for an MOT, the mileage will be recorded - not really a problem. But then, if someone does a HPI check, it'll throw up that the mileage has decreased.
Just leave it.

Don't have the clocks, but it doesn't make a difference, the mileage isn't stored within the clocks so changing the clocks would make no difference.
Indeed Deano, I'm going to leave it and just say the mileage on the engine is just under 50k miles less than what it says.
