fit lyk folks, wis wonderin if i cud pick all yer brains and wisdom lol
i've got a x14xe engine and want2change the inlet system coz that stupid pipe that goes doon i bak o the engine is a pain in the fuckin arse.. i've been lookin in ere and noticed u guys say the lexmaul inlet is a gd thing to fit... i've seen a manifold on total vauxhall ads made by DBilas but is it the same and wat modifications do ya have tae make for vacuum pipes?
and throttle bodies and carbs... they really ezpensive and can be unreliable unless tuned properly at a price are they worth the hassle?
and cams, wats the standard for x14xe inlet & exhaust cams coz ya get ones that are 285degrees and they sound lyk they are quite mild..

not worth tuning 1.4 ..get at least 1.6 then tune

c16xe engines are rare and exbensive and DEFO oil burnin fuckers and the x16xe's aren'y that easy either. i dnt wan2 go for a redtop coz every1has1... lol i'm only a young loon on an apprentices wage lol

but for the money u spend throwing at a 1.4 why dont you just buy a 1.6? makes much more sense.

i'd be atleast250 for a block and head for20 bhp and prob need a new set o rings and shells, yet 250 cud buy me a me a manzel inlet off ere... gains bout 20 bhp

i have put an inlet,4-2-1 and full exhasut on my 1.6 and it gained 21bhp, you wont get 20 just from the inlet.
