you know, i dont know, if it was a battery powerd one, with just the signal out i cant see why it wouldnt work.

can i ask why u would want to do it?
i just done it to see if the aux input worked on my pioneer dvd head unit, was not very loud but worked,
was a shity mic too

yep it would prob work... but if you want it to be there permanantly buy a cheap battery powered microphone amplifier... ebays your best bet!
