A common problem with the 1.4 twin charged engine is the water pump / supercharger magnetic clutch giving up and squeeling like a mofo when the supercharger is engaged

P.s the new grille looks good

ahhh i see could this happen after 4,000 miles? as when im in say 2nd gear ad the revs are building to about 2500-3000 im hearing a sort of squealing/hissing noise i thought this could have been the forge dv leaking but it doesnt seem to be losing power...........the dv is much quiter to when i got it though up untill 3000 revs when the supercharger is disengaged

no its an adapter plate sort of.... you fit it between the standard recirc valve and the turbo which the valve bolts on to but it makes a hissing sound from 2300-3000 rpm under load.

it may have a leak then.. at that sort of rpm the supercharger is whacking out max boost and the boost passes through the turbo compressor side. I would check the seals on the oem recirc valve. they have been known to leak

Grille looks good.
Car looks great.
Golf badge has gone off rear? Would look better with the TSi gone too IMO.

Not a fan of the exhausts though.

Cars coming along really nicely, exhausts are a tad too big though imo An R32 style would have kept it looking smarter.

And agreed on removing the TSi badge too. Other than that...

that front end pic is immense i'd definitely move over for that

exhausts are a tad big but it's still lovely.

only thing that's letting it down is the wheels but as you said, you're sorting that.

cheers for the comments lads

id prefer to leave the tsi badge on only because i dont want it to look like an r32 wannabe, maybe paint the T and S black?.

thinking about some 18" BBS CH sprayed in black crackle paint now saw a car with them on down at ud and it looked immense. should look perfect especially slammed on the coilies .

also exhaust is pretty much temporary, i made it myself so once i get the money for a tb i will be getting rid.

Will have some more pics up in a few days after the remap and suspension fitted.

Really nice.

BBS CH would look cool... in black maybe with a Candy white line around the lip to keep in with the rest of the theme...? just an idea!

Fave bit is the white painted strip around the grill
