the g/f car got broken into and they fucked the drivers lock, i want to move the passenger to the drivers and put a de-locked handle on the passenger, just because it saves having to but a new lock set.

Is this possible?

No as the rods that operate the lock mechanism and the handle are the wrong way round if they are swapped over.
Only way is a new handle with a new lock as far as i know.

Would probs be cheaper getting a cheapo remote locking kit and de-locking both doors.

Failing that, delock the drivers door and add a central locking kit as Brett said
