Hi, I have a problem with my v reg sport. Have they got a alarm as standard? As my alarm keeps going off every 5 min. How do you disconnect the standard alarm? I have tryed to pull batrary off but it comes on. Wat could it be and how can i disconnect?

Standard alarm is easy enough just dont arm it

It comes on on its own. I have a standard cd player and no central looking. Wat could it be? And how can i dissconect?

Yes sorry it has a central looking but kno fob it has to be done with the key.

Well if you turn the key to the horizontal position as in > -- then that arms the alarm and dead locks if you lock it with the key in the vertical position as in > l then the alarm shouldnt arm but the dead locks wont be on

It sounds like you have something thats drawing current and setting the alarm off

Would it be best to take it out? How can you disconect it? is there a fuse or swich to put it off?

Take the glove box out and it it has an alarm its the black box above where the glove box was

Is it safe to dissconect the actual alarm. Its under the bonnet on the drivers side?

You can if you like but its an immobiliser too. if you unplug the control unit above the glove box your car wont start. Guess if you snip out the sounder but leave the alarm trying to go off your car wont start either

maybe snip the wire were the sounder is and fit something in between so it thinks its working say a LED or something!!

If you know anyone half decent with wires you can remove it altogether, thats what I did with mine. Easy enough if you have a wiring diagram for the car
